Thanks, Lane. Well, what do you know, the admission that FDA can't do their job. I think its more than that - they won't do their job. They are against anything healthful from herbs and vitamins to natural cancer treatments, so that Big Pharma can kill more people with dangerous drugs. Like their own toxicologist, Dr. Jacqueline Verrett, said in her book, "Eating Maybe Dangerous To Your Health, The Case Against Food Additives", their doors need to be closed and an agency set up geared to consumer health. Right now it's geared to pleasing Big Pharma and a revolving door where they can go for a greater amount of money. As I told Dr. Michael Friedman in 1999 when Monsanto hired him as VP of Searle for $500,000 they shouldn't have to worry about a revolving door anymore. They should simply build a bridge to take up the traffic. Dr. Friedman got on 60 Minutes and defended Monsanto against the fact that aspartame triggers brain tumors. What a reward...

I know a half a dozen people who could start a new agency and clean up this mess. FDA needs to become again an adversary to Big Pharma. It changed when Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes over-ruled the Board of Inquiry and allowed aspartame to be marketed. It was even published in the newspaper, about this new FDA: http://www.mpwhi.com/the_new_fda.htm It needs to be changed back.
